INCLUSION AND SOCIAL IMPACT
Different perspectives challenge assumptions, sharpen thinking, and lead to better decisions. When they come together, better ideas emerge — and stronger solutions follow. That’s where real impact begins.
Inclusion isn’t a statement or a checkbox. It’s how we work every day, how we collaborate, how we learn from each other, and how we grow as a team.
Different people see different things. That is how we reach the better answer.

We have made diversity, equity, and inclusion a priority for our employees and those we train. Take a look at some of the initiatives we run to help create a more diverse and inclusive workforce.

We have finished our first round of training for the WIT Network Tech Track Training sponsored by Microsoft.
This program was a monumental task and we could not have completed it without the help of the WIT Network and our close partners over at Microsoft.
Increasing women’s presence in the tech industry is a core mission of Fast Lane and we hope to create more opportunities through these types of initiatives.

As part of our Women in Technology initiatives, we offer many free resources for women who want to advance their skills and gain a Microsoft certification in Azure Cloud and Artificial Intelligence.

In 2021 we partnered with Titus Parenting and Zip & Go Assist to provide training on digital literacy. This program offered a scholarship to women of color that gave them hands-on training to allow them to gain the computer skills needed in today’s business world.
The program was designed to help women who lost their jobs during the pandemic, women who had to stop working outside the home to care for their children, and for former front-line workers who wanted to learn computer skills in order to work remotely for businesses. We helped 24 women gain the skills and knowledge needed in today’s technical world.

WOMEN’S DAY
As an international IT training provider, we see every day how fast technology evolves and how underrepresented women still are in the tech industry. On International Women’s Day, we create space to change that. Through a free, one-day training, we give women real insight into the field and a practical starting point for a career in tech. It’s not a one-off initiative, but part of our long-term commitment to increasing diversity in IT — because we believe diversity drives innovation.

WOMEN IN TECHNOLOGY
There is an employment, pay, and culture gap for women in the technology field and part of our mission as an educator is to find ways to help close that gap.
The WiT CloudPower Scholarship Program helps women seize an opportunity to skill up and get certified in Azure in order to position themselves for advancement. We launched the scholarship program on April 1, 2020, starting off with 50 available spots and the program was filled in less than two days. Three total cohorts have now gone through the program and we have provided scholarships to 95 women throughout the past two years.

TECH EQUITY
We recently partnered with the International Association of Microsoft Channel Partners (IAMCP) and Voices for Innovation (VFI) to provide training on Microsoft Azure Fundamentals.
This program offers a scholarship to qualified individuals who are looking to develop or advance their IT careers. Students will be provided with hands-on training to allow them to gain fundamental skills and knowledge needed to become a Microsoft Certified Professional.

Fast Lane US worked with the City of L.A., JVS SoCaL and Microsoft to develop a cloud skilling program for veterans in 2021. All 25 veteran candidates from the first program have achieved certification and 75% of them have secured jobs. Four more cohorts of veteran skilling programs with a total of 60 veterans ran in 2022.
By signing the Charta der Vielfalt, Fast Lane wants to send a clear signal to its employees, customers and partners.
Fast Lane thereby underlines the fundamental orientation to promote a diverse working environment and wants to set a clear signal for more diversity and tolerance. Fast Lane will continue to strive to strengthen its corporate culture by specifically focusing on promoting diversity. Through training, workshops and other measures, Fast Lane will ensure that all employees are able to realise their full potential.
